This unique coffee table has been handmade using the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, which involves charring the surface of the wood to create a beautiful, textured finish. The process of charring the wood not only enhances its natural grain and color, but also makes it more resistant. 

The tabletop is made from sustainably sourced cedar and has been meticulously crafted to create a gouged textural surface. The base of the table consists of two slotted parts that form a cruciform in plan. 

It combines traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
